In 1899, tailor August Stenström from Helsingborg was drowning in orders. His reputation for making the best and most fashionable shirts had quickly spread, and every well-dressed man in town had to own a Stenströms shirt.
Today – more than a hundred years later – Stenströms reputation for quality shirts has spread far beyond Sweden’s borders, and the company’s expert employees still sew the majority of the shirts by hand. Every single Stenströms shirt undergoes more than 60 different production stages – of which 25 alone involve the collar. This is to ensure that the shirts retain the unique feel of a genuine Stenströms shirt.
